At Anna Sheffield Fine Jewelry, inclusion and giving back to those in need has always been not only important to us, but a central part of our brand DNA.

We are a small team of 20+ employees, consisting of all ages, races and genders. As a female-founded, female-led business, we are proud that 20% of our team identifies as BIPOC, most within our Senior leadership teams. We not only organically, but actively seek to continue building a diverse team.

Additionally, our charitable efforts serve a broad array of organizations from grassroots and community-based initiatives to larger national funding – be it through volunteering or donation-based contributions from both our business and team.

For us, giving back is an "always on" approach that ranges from driving change in our industry to being involved in a meaningful way with our communities.

Future Heritage Project

The Future Heritage Project unites Anna Sheffield’s personal history in the Southwest with her work as a jewelry designer, aiming to champion contemporary Native American artisanship, and communicate the authorship and rich narrative of the culture.

Recent funding from this Project supports organizations such as:

Flowering Tree Permaculture Institute – This organization works to nurture healthy communities through practices based on Indigenous ways of knowing, moving with purposeful care for a sustainable future.

Keres Children’s Learning Center – The Keres Children’s Learning Center (KCLC) strives to reclaim children’s education and honor heritage by using a comprehensive cultural and academic curriculum to assist families in nurturing Keres-speaking, holistically healthy, community-minded, and academically strong students.

20% of all sales from our Future Heritage Collection benefit the New Mexico Community Foundation. Proceeds fund a core group of New Mexico-based non-profits whose efforts support education and the preservation of Native American Arts and indigenous wildlife.

Family Equality Council

Family Equality Council’s (FEC) mission is to advance legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families, through building community, changing hearts and minds, and driving policy change.

20% of all sales from our Rainbow Bands Collection benefit the Family Equality Council. Proceeds fund community building and policy change through equality for LGBTQIA+ families and for those who wish to form them.

Natural Resources Defense Council

NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. The organization combines the power of more than three million members and online activists with the expertise of some 700 scientists, lawyers, and policy advocates across the globe to ensure the rights of all people to the air, the water, and the wild.

This past Earth Day, we announced a new charitable element to our Terra Firma Collection, where a portion of every sale will benefit NRDC in their mission to safeguard the planet we collectively call home.

Other Efforts and Organizations

In addition to our “always on” efforts we’re constantly seeking out organizations that align with our beliefs, values, and mission. Below is an additional list of organizations that are near and dear to our heart and represent Anna’s personal and charitable efforts:

Seeding Sovereignty – In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, Seeding Sovereignty has launched a brand-new Indigenous Impact Rapid Response Initiative.

DigDeep – DigDeep’s community-led projects bring clean, hot and cold running water into American homes. They also invest in research, advocacy, and workforce development to close the Water Gap once and for all.

ACLU – The ACLU has evolved in the years since from this small group of idealists into the nation’s premier defender of the rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. With more than 1.5 million members, nearly 300 staff attorneys, thousands of volunteer attorneys, and offices throughout the nation, the ACLU of today continues to fight government abuse and to vigorously defend individual freedoms including speech and religion, a woman’s right to choose, the right to due process, citizens’ rights to privacy and much more.

Minnesota Freedom Fund – The Minnesota Freedom Fund pays criminal bail and immigration bond for those who cannot afford to as we seek to end discriminatory, coercive, and oppressive jailing.

Trans Justice Funding Project – The Trans Justice Funding Project is a community-led funding initiative founded in 2012 to support grassroots, trans justice groups run by and for trans people.

Fair Fight – Fair Fight promotes fair elections in Georgia and around the country, encourage voter participation in elections, and educate voters about elections and their voting rights.

RIGHT NOW: In light of most recent developments in our society around the Black Lives Matter movement and continued racial injustices, Anna Sheffield has taken time to reflect, listen, learn, support, and now to amplify resources and efforts in the ongoing fight for justice and equality. Now we’re calling on you to join us. Read more in ‘The Time is Now’ on our Journal.
