On an Elizabeth Taylor high..

I’m still reeling from how stunning, inspiring and positively massive the collection of Ms. Taylor’s wardrobe and jewelry was…I was fortunate to be among those invited to preview the collection, in its entirety, and see up close this amazing woman’s incredibly vast and precious belongings. They’re now up for auction at Chrystie’s. Very tempting! Some of my favorites were the scrimshaw charm necklace, Van Cleef & Arpels Coral and Amethyst jewelry, a scorpion emblazoned velvet cloak, Diamonds Emeralds and Sapphires of all shapes and sizes, and last but not least the magnificent Cartier Pearl necklace… the story of the giant teardrop shaped pearl is nothing short of magnificent.
