A curated jewelry edit for the July babe

Attention July babes: it is your time to shine! In celebration of your birth month, we did a little digging to learn more about the passionately-colored gemstone that is your birthstone, the Ruby.

Did you know that the word ruby comes from the Latin word “Ruber” which means “red?” Not only is this stone fierce in color but also fierce in meaning. This fiery gemstone represents the passion of love and also serves as a protector and a source of power.

In Asian countries and cultures, Rubies are held in high esteem. In 200 BC, Rubies would line armor and harnesses for noblemen in the countries of India and China. They were thought to protect the men off at battle. More recently, we see the Ruby Slippers protecting Dorthy from the Wicked Witch of the West. “Aunty Em, Aunty Em!”

From stud earrings to nesting suites, we’ve curated a jewelry edit that encompasses the power of this small, natural wonder.

This Diamond Dusted Meridian Studs emanates a starry night above. The line of gold-dusted and white diamond melee serves as a guide for the eye to the gleaming star of this stud: the ruby.

In our bold Serpent Suite No. 02, rubies are featured in the eyes of the serpent and the frame of the Tiara Curve below. The coiled snake serves as a protector alongside the power of this protective stone.
